The Pi Alpha Society
As the number of Pi Kappa Phi brothers who completed Journey of Hope continued to grow, a need was felt for a way for brothers who had completed the life-changing journey to continue sharing and celebrating their experiences beyond just a summer. Proposed by the 1990 PUSH America team, the purpose of the Pi Alpha Society is to recognize the common bond formed among team members and their collective service to The Ability Experience and Pi Kappa Phi. Today, more than 3,000 Pi Kappa Phi brothers have joined the Pi Alpha Society. These members have completed Journey of Hope, Gear Up Florida or Build America. Only one percent of Pi Kappa Phi brothers are members of the Pi Alpha Society.
